We are thrilled to announce the newest addition to our team, Sally (DiRe') Ash! You can join her for O2 Power Flow in the studio on Mondays at 9:45 am and Wednesdays at 8:30 am.
Sally teaches a dynamic class that is both physically challenging and calming to the nervous system. She believes that through challenges on the mat, much like challenges off the mat, individuals can learn to choose their reactions and reconstruct their inner environment with greater intentionality. Her goal is to bring awareness to the breath and the body, guiding students out of their heads and into more conscious ways of moving and being.
ABOUT SALLY:
Sally has always called Dallas her home. For the past 14 years, she has been teaching yoga throughout the Dallas area. In the last three years, Sally's yoga practice has expanded to include other disciplines such as Plant Medicine, Meditation, Breathwork, Sound Healing, and Movement Practice. When she is not teaching, she works in the Medical Aesthetics industry as a Medical Assistant and holds a Laser Technician License.
Hometown: Dallas, Texas
Teacher & Mentors: Sally's very first yoga teacher was Joseph Stingley in 2009. He introduced her to the power of a physical vinyasa practice integrated with a spiritual and somatic focus. Since then, Sally has been inspired by many teachers she has practiced under and taught alongside. However, her greatest teachers in life come from her closest relationships, as well as from facing her own shadows and venturing into the unknown.
Practice Inspiration: Sally is inspired by creative expression in music; vulnerability, emotional intelligence, and connection in relationships; and the power, beauty, and connection found in nature, culture, and animals.
Experience & Certifications: 200RYT, 14 years of teaching throughout the Dallas area
Playlist: An eclectic mix of beats that create motivation with a grounding focus. She believes music is as important as creating a sequence!
